The manual says, "When in an office equipped with PABX, your unit makes it easy to transfer calls." It then gives instructions but never states while they are holding to be transferred they are listening to music unless that is what the PABX does. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FCSYHY/ref=cm_cr_rev_prod_titleThis phone doesn't have a Music on Hold feature that I can see on the phone unless it is done with a call waiting feature. But there is no hold button. I was disappointed that this phone didn't have a hold button that offered a melody. That was why I bought this phone.Lorraine
